Will Adam Levine And Behati Pinsloo Actually Last?
Over the years, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has acquired a reputation as a bit of a ladies man. From Anne Vyalitsyna to Behati Prinsloo to Nina Agdal, he’s dated quite a few models over the past few years and has been linked through unsubstantiated rumors to what feels like a dozen more. Consequently, most observers thought the thirty-four-year-old would continue down the same path of serial flings for awhile, but Levine himself apparently had a different life trajectory in mind. In fact, the beloved frontman announced this week that he’s engaged.
The lucky girl in question is the aforementioned Prinsloo. She and Adam dated for about a year starting in 2012 before they went their separate ways earlier this year. Absence made the heart a whole lot fonder, however, and after a brief spell with Agdal, Levine reportedly broke up with her and started pursuing Prinsloo again. Over the weekend, he decided whatever he was feeling was very right, and he reportedly popped the question and made the announcement last night. Here’s what a source close to the situation told US Magazine…
On the one hand, it’s easy to see why Levine decided to propose. Not only is his twenty-four-year-old Victoria’s Secret Angel fiancée incredibly beautiful, he must have immediately realized how deeply he missed her when they went their separate ways. By all accounts, they get along great, and if he truly only wants to be with her, there’s really nothing else he needs to factor in.
On the other hand, however, the fact that they only dated for about a year, broke up and got engaged almost immediately after getting back together seems like a pretty big red flag. Most people recommend at least two years or so of continuous dating before thinking about the next step, and that definitely didn’t happen here. In addition, if they’re so perfect for each other, why did they break up the first time? And why was The Voice judge on vacation with another woman just a few short months ago? Is he really the type that’s going to be able to settle down over the long haul?
I want to think this relationship is going to work. I want to think these two are going to grow old together and have little beautiful, angelic-voiced babies, but I’m not sure I’m really sold on them lasting. What do you think? Will these two make it?
