Alaskan Walmart To Be Visited By Pitbull
Last month, Sheets announced it would send its spokesman Pitbull to whichever Walmart in the United States got the most Facebook likes. Naturally, the contest seemed a hilarious vehicle for Internet pranksters, and a campaign was quickly begun to send the musician to the most remote Walmart in the United States. Within hours, fans headed over to the Kodiak, Alaska page to ensure victory, and when the polls closed yesterday, the store that sells bear repellant topped all others with more than seventy-one thousand likes.
Given where he’s headed, you would think Pitbull might be slightly miffed at the guys from Something Awful for rigging the votes, but actually, he seems more pumped to get an opportunity to show everyone just how far he’ll go for his fans. You can take a look at Pitbull’s Kodiak announcement below…
I highly doubt those who voted to send him to Alaska will bother showing up, but it would be a great experience if they did. I hope the residents of Kodiak have a blast with Pitbull, and I hope he wanders around trying on all the strange gadgets that particular store sells. If you’re going to be in Alaska, you might as well just embrace it and have fun. Besides, he’s getting paid. That sounds like a great trip to me.
