Bobby Brown Sentenced To 55 Days In Jail For Latest DUI
The hammer has come down on Bobby Brown in response to his most recent DUI conviction, and this time, the damage was a little more severe than a slap on the wrist. The troubled singer has been ordered to spend fifty-five days in jail, attend eighteen months worth of alcohol treatment and check in with a probation officer for the next four years.
The incident in question happened back in October. Brown was pulled over for allegedly driving erratically, and when cops approached the vehicle, they sensed something was wrong. So, they ran his license, which turned out to be suspended, and looked into his sobriety, which turned out to not be on the level. He was promptly arrested, and recently, he pleaded no contest to the charges against him.
According to TMZ, the October run-in with police was Brown’s third DUI arrest. He was previously booked during the years 1996 and 2012, the latter of which cost him his license. Of course, he apparently kept on driving, but for his sake, I hope he takes this arrest a little more seriously since another one would probably cost him a year or more in jail.
Everyone would rather drive their car after a long night out, but in the long run, it’s just not worth it. Driving drunk is extremely dangerous and if caught, it’s a complete mess to clean up. Brown should have learned that by now, but I guess everyone grows up on their own time.
