Britney Spears Says New Album Will Be Personal And Different
Britney Spears is finally coming out of her recording shell to discuss her upcoming studio album. The singer has been busy taking interviews and heading to Twitter in the last week to talk about album number 8. According to the pop singer and former The X Factor judge, her new album will be “different” and “personal.” She’s always been great with adjectives, that Britney.
Luckily, even if Spears isn’t the thoughtful music personality on the market, she has a pretty good team surrounding her for her newest album. Back in May, will.i.am admitted he is collaborating with Spears on her latest, stating the two have plans to go in a new direction for the 31-year-old.
The two have collaborated on tracks like her “Big Fat Bass” and his “Scream & Shout” in the past, and should be a good fit for the new album, which Spears has also confirmed is taking her in a new direction. The “Toxic” singer recently told Ryan Seacrest in an interview that the new endeavor will be different.
Last month, the singer released “Ooh La La.” The song is from the Smurfs 2 soundtrack and showcases a fun and friendly Britney with tons of child-like energy—perfect for an animated movie soundtrack. While the song was created for the movie, it does showcase a little bit of a different side to Ms. Spears, who is a mom now, and not just a sex symbol.
Recently, Spears also shared a little more information concerning her new album, telling her followers she can’t wait to share some of her new music. While Spears’ upcoming album doesn’t have a release date or a title yet, hopefully this means we’ll at least be getting a single, soon.
We'll let you know as soon as Spears announces when her newest album will be hitting shelves.
