New Britney Spears Track Leaked Early
We’ve known for a little while now that Britney Spears is working on a new album, which will be produced by her pal will.i.am. That isn’t the only musical endeavor she’s busy dealing with, however. The 31-year-old singer has also recorded a track for the upcoming Smurfs 2 flick, and a early demo of that track found its way online earlier this week. You can catch it, above.
The track clearly sounds like it hasn’t been totally cleaned up, but despite this, the song in its current form, called “Ooh La La,” is still a fun track that’s sung on a level that kids can dig. Spears addressed the leaked release on Friday, noting that the official version of the Smurfs 2 song will hit the airwaves (and be available for official purchase) next month.
The early demo form “Ooh La La” isn’t a bad track, but it’s not as focused as some of the stuff we’ve seen from the pop princess in the past. But hey, even if this song does end up being a flop, at least we’ll also be getting a new album from the former X Factor judge, sooner rather than later.
“Ooh La La” is the first single Spears has released since 2011’s “Criminal.” The singer is also working on a deal to put together a Las Vegas show.
