Casey Anthony Wears A Necklace Containing Caylee's Ashes
Following Casey Anthony’s arrest and trial, there was more than a bit of bad blood between the daughter accused of murder and her mother. The twenty-six-year-old’s attorney said a lot of negative things about the family in an attempt to get his client off, and while it worked, the fallout further isolated Anthony from her family. Months later however, the two women have reportedly gotten back on the same page and to strengthen their bond, they’ve allegedly taken to wearing a rather macabre memento.
According to People, the Anthony women now sport matching necklaces, each which contain some of Caylee’s ashes. It’s been almost four years since the poor girl was murdered, and even though Casey was found not guilty, much public resentment and finger pointing remains. She’s currently living in seclusion in Florida and has supposedly gained about twenty pounds. Without her daughter, it must be a comfort to know her mom is back in her life.
There’s no word on how father George feels about the necklaces, or even if he’s as friendly with his daughter as his wife is, but you’d have to think there’s still some deep, emotional scars over what happened. The entire mess captivated the nation as it was happening, producing heated opinions and plenty of accusations. In fact, the prosecutor still releases occasional comments chastising Anthony for murdering her daughter. It’ll be years before she can even attempt to begin rebuilding her life, which, depending on your perspective, might be warranted.
