Christian Bale Hung Out With Aurora Victims For More Than 2 Hours
When news first broke of Christian Bale’s visit to an Aurora, Colorado hospital to meet with the wounded, little was known beyond the fact that he showed up and did so as himself, not a representative for Warner Bros. In the day since, a clearer picture has emerged, and the details all make Bale look even classier.
It turns out his visit to the Medical Center of Aurora was far from just a glorified photo opportunity. The actor actually spent a full two-and-a-half hours meeting with five of the people recovering in the hospital. When news of his arrival leaked to the surrounding area, two of the wounded being held at Swedish Medical Center were transported to the Medical Center of Aurora, and Bale met with them too. According to The Denver Post, the actor also toured the makeshift vigil set up to honor the victims and showed compassion but also a clear strength and determination.
You can take a look at the photograph of Bale posing with one of the victims below…
It’s in the moments of tragedy that the caring are separated from the selfish. Visiting the hospital might have been the standard good-guy thing to do, but taking the time to actually get to know each one of the victims and staying hours is the mark of true class. Well played, Christian. You brought a lot of smiles to a lot of faces.
Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to the victims and their families.
