Over the past year, Christina Aguilera has been under massive scrutiny due to the fact that she is a little heavier than she had formerly been. The 5-time Grammy winner, who is currently starring on the hit NBC series The Voice, is now fighting back at the critics who claim the pop diva has let herself go. Aguilera tells Access Hollywood that she loves her new, fuller frame. Go Christina!
I am so thrilled she came out and said this. I've been a fan of Christina's for over a decade, and I've always loved how comfortable in her own skin she is. She's never compromised who she is in order to fit any mold, and I can't tell you how much her constant messages of strength in her music helped me as a teenager. There are so many young women out there who look up to her and will hopefully take her statements to heart. I admire Christina for not going on some ridiculous starvation diet the second she started to hear criticism from the media. She's obviously clear on what really matters in life, and isn't letting the opinions of cruel people around the world define her. I think it's something to be admired.
