Ciara Gets Served While Performing In Los Angeles
Ciara was in Los Angeles over the weekend in order to lend her voice to the city’s LA Pride Festival. Unfortunately a dispute has arisen over another performance she tentatively agreed to in Los Angeles, later cancelling. The club she was set to perform at, Hit Factory, was none too happy about the cancelled event and kept promoting her performance, even though a rep for Ciara is saying the singer did cancel. The club has opted to sue the 27-year-old singer, which leads us to one of this week’s most amusing stories.
On Saturday, Ciara was in the middle of performing at the Pride Festival when she was drawn to the edge of the stage by a waving fan. TMZ was also on hand for the event and caught a brazen young process server as she swiftly served the pop singer. I’ve only ever seen someone get served via movies and if this hilarious court serving is any indication, ridiculous serving opportunities in movies really do make sense.
Instead of pocketing the paperwork, Ciara quickly dropped the paperwork on to the ground and kept performing, which seems to be partially a move of annoyance and partially a move of professionalism, since she was mid-song when she found out she was being sued. Eventually, the singer is going to have to deal with the court case, but we’ll see if it actually goes anywhere. Either way, Pop Blend will keep you posted along the way.
