Creepy Queens Of The Stone Age Video Teases New Album
On Tuesday, Queens of the Stone Age debuted “Kalopsia,” a brand new video celebrating music off the band’s upcoming album, Like Clockwork… . It’s the newest in what seems to be a series of wild, fantastical, and a little scary animated videos set to music from Josh Homme and company. At under 2 minutes, it’s not really a time suck, and it’s worth a watch.
Queens of the Stone Age have spent some time recording and preparing for the release of the group’s brand new album. Last fall, word came out that Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl would take over on drums on the newest QOTSA album. This isn’t the first time Grohl has collaborated with the band. He also played on the 2002 album Songs For the Death and plays in another band, Them Crooked Vultures, with Homme.
After adding Grohl to the studio roster, the group got down to work putting together its first album since Era Vulgaris. We’ve known the group’s sixth studio album was on its way since the group debuted a new track in Brazil. Like Clockwork… is out June 4. Additionally, fans who preorder the track via iTunes will be able to get the song “My God is the Sun” immediately.
