Crocodile Dundee Stars Paul Hogan And Rita Kozlowski Getting Divorced
While golden couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s marriage has lasted for a quarter century, many Hollywood marriages falter well before that time (See: Kim Kardashian’s 72 days of marriage). Which is why it is always a bummer when long-lasting Hollywood couples decide to call it quits. On Friday, it was determined that actors Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski Hogan are getting divorced after 23 years of marriage, and it was Linda who filed the paperwork.
Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski Hogan spent a lot of time together on the set of Crocodile Dundee in the mid-eighties. The film was released in 1986, and went on to spawn two sequels, Crocodile Dundee II and Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles. Soon after the second film in the franchise was released, Hogan wed Kozlowski. They lived together seemingly happily until last month, when TMZ is reporting they officially separated.
According to court documents, Linda Hogan would like to change her name back to Kozlowski, which should be the least of Paul Hogan’s problems. Additionally, she would like spousal support, and joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s 15-year-old son, Chance. TMZ says the split has been fairly amicable, and the fact that she’s cool to split custody with her ex seems to indicate that to be true. If there’s one thing Hollywood has taught us about divorces, it’s that the less amicable things are between a former couple, the more demanding the divorce requests usually are.
It’s a good thing for Paul that this divorce seems like it will be easy peasy. The actor was married twice prior to wedding Kozlowski, although both former marriages were to the same woman. He was married to his first wife, Noelene, from 1958 to the early eighties before divorcing her, only to marry again a short time later. When that marriage eventually erupted in 1986, the divorce was all over the papers. In short, it was ugly, and here’s hoping Hogan and Kozlowski’s divorce will fade out much more quickly and quietly.
Trouble may have been brewing for longer than the official split, as reports indicate the couple sold their Malibu property to Chris Hemsworth a few months ago.
