Dan Marino Admits He Fathered A Child With A CBS Production Assistant
Almost a decade ago, NFL legend Dan Marino had an affair with a CBS production assistant. The woman, named Donna Savattere, gave birth to their love child back in June of 2005, and only now has the affair become public. Apparently, the longtime Miami Dolphin paid her millions of dollars, and the two agreed never to discuss the affair in public. Unfortunately, someone leaked the story earlier this week, and rather than peddle a bunch of lies, Marino admitted what happened.
In a written response to The New York Post’s initial expose, the quarterback took responsibility for what happened. You can read a portion of his official statement below…
After having the baby, Savattere reportedly moved to Texas to raise the child. Later, she purchased a home in the Hamptons and became a regular on the New York social scene. A little more than three years ago, she married Nahill Younis at a ceremony in the Bahamas, and he’s reportedly handled quite a bit of the parenting duties, coupled with some irregular visits from Marino.
Obviously, this affair was a major mistake in Marino’s life, but if his wife has forgiven him and he’s gone above and beyond to provide for the child, there’s really nothing else he can do, especially if Savattere doesn’t really want him to be involved in the kid’s life.
