Does Getting Kicked In The Balls Hurt More Than Giving Birth?
Over the course of my life, I’ve probably argued with at least five or six different people about whether getting kicked in the nuts or giving birth hurts more. To be perfectly honest, I have no idea what the right answer is. I can definitely attest to the fact that getting kicked in the nuts is absolutely horrendous, but I’ll never know the horrors of childbirth first hand. Luckily, science can at least explain the idea to me logically.
The above video was put together by ASAP Science, and it does its damndest to answer that eternal debate. Unfortunately, it seems the answer basically boils down to it depends on the person and the individual experience. Pain is extremely subjective. It depends on mood. It depends on one’s personal pain threshold, and it depends on whether one has gone through the same thing before.
This is really a perfect question for ASAP Science. The fine people over at that YouTube channel do extremely well when they have a quick surface level question to answer. Here’s to hoping they’re able to keep churning ‘em out because, if they do, people will keep watching.
