Giuliana Rancic Is Happy To Be Shallow And Back To Work
Giuliana Rancic has had a tumultuous year. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in October, the host and her husband, Bill, worked hard to come up with a game plan. It didn’t take long. First the E! News star and red carpet wooer underwent a lumpectomy that would hopefully remove all traces of cancer cells from her body. When that did not work as well as the couple hoped, Rancic ended up weighing the future pros and cons of different types of treatment, eventually deciding to have a double mastectomy.
Breast cancer may do a lot to change a woman’s body, but for Rancic, making the mastectomy decision was one of the hardest things she has ever had to do. The 37 year-old interviewer recently spoke to Glamour to discuss how her husband helped her to make a list and decide what was the best decision.
While the family seems to have really worked as a team, it was Giuliana who went through much of the tough stuff, and came through it all with a strong head on her shoulders. After the surgery, she even managed three and a half laps around a track to get her body moving – a feat after an operation. Going back to work was another kind of challenge, however.
Challenges have the potential to change people, but only if they want to. It seems Rancic has a lovely life, with a kind husband and a thousand reasons to wake up in the morning. Now, the double mastectomy will ensure she never has to worry about breast cancer, again. Pop Blend wishes Giuliana and Bill the best in their future endeavors. They certainly deserve it.
