Holly Madison: I Want To Turn My Placenta Into Pills And Swallow Them
Holly Madison has always been a woman who marches to the beat of her own drummer. She does what she thinks is best for her and her family without worrying about the headlines such behavior might generate. She dated Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, starred in a Las Vegas strip show and now, she has apparently decided to eat her own placenta after she gives birth to her baby.
The mom-to-be made the announcement on her Celeb Buzz page yesterday. If all goes according to plan, she will have the placenta turned into pills and subsequently swallow them because she thinks it will help her bounce back more quickly after the birth. That might sound like craziness, but the practice actually has plenty of supporters. January Jones told Glamour she thinks eating the placenta helped her ward off depression and fatigue.
Madison has made no secret about her desire to have a baby. In fact, rumor has it she and Hef finally decided to go their separate ways specifically because he wasn’t interested in having children. So, whether she winds up eating the placenta or not, she should have plenty to celebrate when she and Pasquale Rotella welcome in their son. Here’s to hoping motherhood proves to be just as special, fulfilling and joyful as she has always imagined.
We’ll let you know whether she goes through with the plan when the kid is born later this year. Until then, try not think about it when you sit down for lunch.
