How Old Is Too Old To Hunt For Easter Eggs?

When I was a child, I loved hunting for Easter Eggs. I tried to mentally focus before searching my house high and low for all of those little treasures, and more often than not, I whipped the living shit out of my cousins, accruing two or three times as many eggs as my nearest competitor.

A funny thing happened when I turned ten, however. I woke up on Easter morning and decided I was too old to hunt for Easter Eggs. I decided it was unfair to my younger cousins to have to compete against someone as experienced and brilliant at hunting eggs as me; so, despite the pleas of my parents and my aunts and uncles, I joined the hiding team and officially hung up my basket.

To be perfectly honest, part of me wishes I would have stuck out hunting Easter Eggs a little longer. I had so much fun doing it, and once it’s over, it’s over. We all have the rest of our lives to help hide eggs for the younger kids. That’s just me though. Maybe everyone else thinks I quit at exactly the right age. Maybe everyone starts feeling too old for Easter Eggs at ten.
