Huh? Uma Thurman Gives Daughter 7 Names
By now, we’re all used to celebrities giving their kids weirdo, unconventional names, but in the case of Uma Thurman’s newborn, her name is getting double takes for a far different reason: it’s actually seven names. Apparently, the normal first name, middle name, last name structure wasn’t enough of a mouthful for the Kill Bill star and her husband Arpad Busson; so, their little girl, who will be known as Luna to friends and family, has been officially dubbed Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson.
The announcement was made in a statement to People this morning. Apparently, each of the individual names is significant in some way to Uma and/ or Arpad, but as for what those connections are, we’ll probably never know. It would take hours to get the full backstory given how many names would have to be gone over, and plus, considering they waited months to even tell anyone the name, it’s unlikely either parent is excited about the public knowing too many details about their private business.
I’m not going to defend how long this name is, but I have no qualms with Luna whatsoever. That’s a beautiful moniker, and if that’s what the little girl goes by, she’s not going to have a problem beyond the random times in her life when she’ll need to fill out her full name for legal purposes.
