Country singer Jake Owens tends to do things impulsively. He proposed to his girlfriend before even having givien the engagement ring a lick of a thought. Luckily, his wedding, while casual, seemed to be a little bit better thought out. He wore drawstring pants and a white shirt and his new wife Lacey Buchanan wore a sweet strapless dress. Brunch followed, and voila! the two lovebirds were married. Except, it almost never happened due to yet another impulsive decision from Owen's end.
On Saturday, Owen and a few of his buddies were out celebrating Cinco de Mayo when they grew a little too wild. The 30 year-old singer eventually made enough of a rowdy impression the police were called. According to E!, after the police showed up in Vero Beach, Florida they apprehended the singer, but did not end up formally charging him or taking him to jail.
I’m sure a few respectful words and a whole lot of “I’m getting married in a couple of days” helped the man’s case. In any event, it would be a shame to miss your own wedding for any reason and especially because of a drunk and disorderly charge. Case in point, gentlemen: partying the night before the wedding is never the best life call. It’s best to stick to the plan and avoid all things impulsive.
