Jake Owen And Wife Welcome A Thanksgiving Baby
On Thursday, country star Jake Owen and his wife, Lacey, welcomed their first child together amidst turkey and football fanfare. The baby may have been a bit of a surprise, only coming eight months after the 31-year-old singer proposed to his wife onstage and seven months after they married, but the family was very happy about the youngster’s arrival.
The couple welcomed a 6 lb. and 3 oz. baby, whom they named Olive Pearl Owen. According to Yahoo Music, the couple plan to refer to the baby by her middle name, which just so happens to be the name of Owen’s godmother. The country singer broke the news via Twitter over the holiday, calling his new daughter a “turkey baby,” although she looks closer to the size of a Chipotle Burrito than a turkey—and I mean that in a cute way.
The man also posted the above picture of his newborn, which catches a candid moment of the new baby smiling up at her daddy, which is completely understandable. I’m not sure there’s a woman in the world who can resist smiling when Owen pulls out that gleaming row of perfect teeth. The two already seem like a fine pair of chums, and it’ll be no time at all before he and his daughter begin jamming out to “Barefoot Blue Jean Night.”
