Janet Jackson Has Made How Much Money?
Janet Jackson may not be as gung ho about healing the world as her brother, Michael, but she is pretty good about making money. According to recent reports, the longtime pop singer and sometimes actress has hit the billion dollar mark, thanks to a lucrative combo pack of sales, tours, endorsements, and acting deals.
The news first broke in Variety which touted her success by noting all the money she had made through various endeavors. Apparently, the 47-year-old has made $458 million through concert tours, $260 from album sales, $81 million from sponsorships, and a whopping $304 million from acting gigs (remember, she was in The Nutty Professor II and a slew of Tyler Perry movies, including Why Did I Get Married?), the latter of which seems more than a little high. If the numbers stand true, she’s well over the billion mark.
Not that she needed to reach the super exclusive billion dollar club. Jackson recently married another billionaire, Wissam Al Mana, after a slew of earlier reports stating that the two were engaged. Janet recently spoke out via Twitter about how it has been 20 years since she produced the album Janet (her fifth studio album), and in the time since, she’s certainly made the most of her career. Her team up with Wissam Al Mana, who has made a fortune in the Middle East, should ensure her legacy in the years to come, although the strong singer has proven over the last several decades that she can stand on her own two feet.
