Jason Aldean Slaps His Wife With Divorce Papers
Jason Aldean is done working on his marriage. The country singer recently released a statement saying he and his wife are spending some time apart, but apparently, the problems are a whole lot more serious than that.
According to TMZ, Aldean slapped his wife with divorce papers at the end of this past week. In his filing, he reportedly cites irreconcilable differences as his reason, but as for what that means, his fans probably have a pretty good guess. Back in September of last year, Aldean was photographed kissing American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr at a club on the Sunset Strip. The backlash from his cheating was very loud and very quick. Initially, Aldean and his wife Jessica Ussery, who have two children and have been together since high school, tried to get over his mistake and make it work, but back in January, they reportedly moved into separate residences.
Neither Aldean nor Ussery has spoken publically about this step toward divorce court. As such, there’s no way to know right now whether the proceedings will be contentious or not. With plenty of property and the custody of two lovely children to battle over, there are certainly plenty of reasons to argue, but in their two beautiful children, there are a hell of a lot more reasons to talk it out peacefully and remain on the same page as co-parents.
Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to the Aldean family during this time of need. Here’s to hoping the family is able to get back on the same page, whether that book is located in the same space or not.
