Jessica Simpson Finally Has Her Baby
When Jessica Simpson first announced her pregnancy, most people were very happy for the combination singer and actress. After all, she’d long wished to be a mother, and her dream was finally coming true. As the months crept on and her hot ass bump got larger however, the collective excitement began turning into something closer to sympathy. Wild conspiracy theories even emerged claiming she’d clearly given birth already and was just waiting to maximize publicity. I’m not normally one to believe idiotic conjecture, but I must admit, it felt like she was pregnant for eighteen months. Well, not anymore.
According to E! News, Simpson welcomed a bouncing baby girl this morning in a Los Angeles hospital room. She reportedly arrived very early, got situated, welcomed her family and delivered without complication by lunch. The new arrival weighed in at nine pounds, thirteen ounces and has been christened Maxwell Drew Johnson.
Shortly after the birth, Simpson and Johnson released a statement thanking fans for their prayers and calling the delivery the greatest experience of their lives. In the coming days, we’ll likely get some explanation as to the name and some more details about what went down, but in the meantime, Pop Blend sends out its congratulations to Jessica and Eric. Being a professional athlete and a reality star might offer a specific set of challenges, but parenthood will surely be a very different beast. Good thing they both seem devoted and determined enough to succeed.
