Jon Gosselin Apologizes To Kate For How He Behaved
Pigs are flying, people in Hell are putting on ice skates and the world is doing a collective double take after Jon Gosselin shockingly decided to apologize to his ex-wife Kate. The former reality stars and parents to eight children didn’t just have a messy divorce, they had a vicious divorce filled with finger-pointing, reckless behavior and words that couldn’t be taken back. In the three years since however, the two have apparently found a healthy appreciation for each other, a team realization that led Jon to admit he screwed up earlier this week.
In a new interview with People, the thirty-five-year-old revealed he’s moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to his family and now calls Kate on a regular basis whenever one of the kids are sick or decisions need to be made as a team. He also revealed he regrets many of his actions, particularly all the women he dated, immediately following the divorce.
That’s a mature, thoughtful comment on what happened, and in many ways, it’s insight into why Jon and Kate were really a pretty awesome couple for a lot of years. She was loving and excitable. He was calm and careful with his words. Watching the show, you never would have guessed he’d fly off the handle, move around the country and date a stream of unimportant women, but I guess he had to go through that phase to rediscover why his former persona worked so well.
Here’s to hoping the good will continues for years to come.
