Kelly Clarkson Set To Marry Reba McEntire's Stepson
Kelly Clarkson is finally getting married. The American Idol winner and subsequent pop star has been looking for love for a while now, and apparently she has found love of the rarest kind with Brandon Blackstock, who proposed to the “Breakaway” singer on December 14. Unsurprisingly, she said yes.
Kelly Clarkson hasn’t always been super public about her relationships. When she first began dating Blackstock, the son of her manager and the stepson of Reba McEntire, she didn’t make the relationship public until it had been going on for a little while, perhaps when she felt things were getting a little serious. As Us Magazine reported, by November Clarkson told Ellen DeGeneres that she could see herself marrying Blackstock, and that is exactly how things are going down.
On Saturday, Clarkson took to Twitter to proclaim her newly defined status to her more than 2 million followers.
There are no wedding plans in the works just yet, but Clarkson did tell DeGeneres in the November interview that she was stoked about eloping, so an impromptu wedding may be in the cards. If that’s what the 30-year-old singer wants, I’m betting that’s what she will get. Still, Pop Blend would like to wish the couple the best as they move forward in the wedding process.
