Will Kim Kardashian Raise A Competent Girl?
Thanks to the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, we now know Bruce Jenner has no idea what the definition of a man cave is and Kim and Kanye are having a baby girl. The former might be a whole lot more goofy, but not surprisingly, the latter reveal is attracting a whole lot more attention.
Since Kim first announced she was carrying the hip hop star’s child, debate has raged as to whether the reality star will be an effective parent. On the one hand, she has all the time and all the resources needed to give the girl every opportunity she could possibility need. She’ll grow up with the best of everything and with every door almost halfway open. That being said, there’s far more to raising a child than having money. Being a good parent requires time, patience, energy and a willingness to teach the touch lessons, even if it’s not a whole lot of fun.
Maybe Kim has those skills in her. Maybe she’s a lot deeper and a lot more compassionate than she’s shown on her television show. Maybe she’s going to crush this whole motherhood thing, showing her daughter the skills it takes to be a successful woman in her personal, professional and academic lives. Then again, maybe she’s really as incapable of depth and selflessness as her critics claim. Maybe she really doesn’t have what it takes to raise a daughter effectively.
