Kobe Bryant Wins A Kiss From His Estranged Wife
Back in December, Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, filed for divorce. Those who have been following the relationship for a while probably know Bryant was accused of sexual assault back in 2003. You would think that would have been enough to keep the Laker in check with his wife; however, reportedly, it was a set of newer affairs that caused Vanessa to end the relationship.
Since Vanessa filed for divorce, Kobe has been working to earn his wife’s trust, again. Through divorce proceedings and an agreement to split assets 50/50 are in place, Kobe has not stopped attempting a little relationship magic. However, for months his efforts didn’t seem to be paying off. That is, until Valentine’s Day rolled around.
Yesterday, the Lakers played the Atlanta Hawks. Attending the game—in a startlingly sexy red dress—was Kobe’s wife Vanessa. According to TMZ, the dress was not the only thing Vanessa brought to the game. After the Lakers won, she accompanied Kobe down to the locker room, where they overtly kissed one another.
On one hand, it is great the couple is working things out. Kobe seems like a guy who genuinely has a romantic connection with his wife and really does care about his family. Clearly, if Vanessa has forgiven Kobe in the past, she really does love him above all else. On the other hand, it is always a little sad to see a woman put herself in a situation to be unhappy again and again to make it work with a man who can’t seem to 100% get his act together. Here’s to hoping, if they do work things out, they really fight for a relationship that works for both of them. At least they have until June, when the divorce is to be finalized, to figure things out.
