Lil Wayne To Take Time Off For Skateboarding

Lil Wayne has been rapping almost nonstop for the past twenty-two years. He’s put out his own mixtapes, LPs and singles. He been a guest on other tracks, a producer on other albums and a manager to other stars. As the rap games goes, he’s done just about everything one could possibly try, which is why he’s planning to go the hell away for a little while.

According to MTV, Weezy told DJ Drama from Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 earlier this week that he’s going to get his skateboard, head off by himself and stop bothering people...

"I kinda feel like I deserve that, I feel like the fans deserve a little No Wayne. I've been everywhere, man. I've been out on everybody's song, I'm still on everybody's song. My artists are doing awesome; I believe the fans deserve some peace from me, so I'll be on my skateboard in the meantime."

It’s always easier to work like a madman while you’re on your way up the mountain. Michael Jordan didn’t give professional baseball a try until he won three titles. Paul Newman didn’t start selling salad dressing until he’d been nominated for a handful of Oscars and churned out plenty of beloved movies. Lil Wayne might not quite be in either of those men’s camps, but he has done pretty damn well for himself. If he wants to skateboard everyday for a year, I think that sounds like a great idea.
