Listen To A Nine Inch Nails Song Mashed Up With Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe

By this point, if you weren't already instantly irritated by Carly Rae Jepsen's catchy pop hit "Call Me Maybe", you probably are by now. Even so, this mash-up, which features the music from the Billboard chart-topping pop song is worth a listen to, particularly if you were into alternative rock in the 90's. You might not think there's a Nine Inch Nail song suitable to mash with "Call Me Maybe," but never underestimate the internet's ability to make magic happen.

The Verge posted the mash-up below, which somehow manages to fit "Head Like A Hole" over "Call Me Maybe." As you might imagine, it's as catchy as it is unsettling.

Doesn't it make you feel better?

If my youth and today's youth were to throw a party, I'm pretty sure this song would be in heavy rotation on the playlist… or mix tape.

The timing for this mash-up seems particularly fitting, given recent news that Nine Inch Nails is making a comeback. Not that frontman Trent Reznor has gone anywhere. The artist composed the scores for The Social Network and David Fincher's Girl with the Dragon Tattoo adaptation, earning himself an Oscar for his work on the music for the Facebook film. He also appeared in Dave Grohl's documentary film Sound City.
