Mario Lopez Planning To Marry In Mexico

The castmembers of Saved By The Bell may be lovingly remembered by fans as high school kids, but that nostalgia hasn’t stopped the gang from growing up. A few months ago, Zack Morris aka Mark-Paul Gosselaar got engaged to the beautiful Catriona McGinn, and now A.C. Slater aka Mario Lopez has announced his engagement to Courtney Mazza.

The two have been together since 2008. A few years back, she gave birth to their first child, a girl named Gia, but the little bundle of joy didn’t push them toward the alter, at least not at first. According to US Weekly, she turned out to be a big factor in Lopez’s decision to propose however. He reportedly told Mazza he wanted the little girl’s mother to have the same last name as her daughter before getting on bended knee and asking her to marry him. She said yes, and later admitted, apart from Gia’s birth, the proposal was the best moment of her life.

Since leaving Bayside, Lopez has enjoyed a very successful career as a television host. He currently works on Extra and America’s Best Dance Crew, in addition to being a boxing analyst and sometimes host of Miss USA Pageants. Admittedly, I didn’t think he’d last long when he first stated filling on Extra, but he’s good on his feet and extremely affable.

There’s been no official date set for the upcoming wedding, but the pair reportedly have decided to marry in Mexico sometime before the year is out. That means the ceremony should be beautiful and relatively small.
