Mark Sanchez And Eva Longoria Are Officially Dating

After the New York Jets missed the playoffs last year, quarterback Mark Sanchez talked about wanting to put the season behind him in order to move on and start fresh. His brilliant performance in game one against the Bills went a long way to wipe the football slate clean, and now, it seems his personal life is ready to begin a new chapter too.

Rumors about a possible relationship between the former USC letterman and former Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria have been swirling for weeks, but neither addressed the situation publically until yesterday when the actress appeared on Extra. Longoria has long maintained a friendship with host Mario Lopez, which is probably why he felt close enough to bring it up during the interview.

After calling him an “asshole” for the way he blindsided her with a personal life question, Longoria bit the bullet and decided to fess up.

“Mark and I are, you know, fine. We're happy just dating.”

Following her divorce from Spurs star Tony Parker, Longoria was linked to Eduardo Cruz. Around the same time, Sanchez was allegedly going on dates with Kate Upton. Hopefully, this new relationship will offer more stability, longterm fulfillment and for the sake of Jets fans, positive momentum. Nothing sours football fans on a relationship quite like a few unexpected losses. Jessica Simpson found that out the hard way a few years ago during her fling with Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
