Melodramatic Awesomeness: Leighton Meester And Adam Brody Are Dating
In part one of what I hope is a multi-part plan to give the world future primetime soap opera stars, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester have started dating. The twenty-six-year-old actress and the thirty-three-year-old actor have been close friends since they worked together on The Oranges a few years back, but for most fans, the real tie that binds them together will always be their starring turns on the separate, yet emotionally related Josh Schwartz vehicles Gossip Girl and The O.C..
Neither member of the new couple has spoken about their budding romance, but a source close to the pair told US Magazine that they’ve been dating for weeks on the secret and have already vacationed together in Thailand and visited the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, one of which is obviously a much bigger step toward couplehood than the other.
There’s something about this pairing that just seems right. They’ve both always come across as good-natured and pleasant people, and together, they should be able to work toward cornering the market on unfairly attractive side roles in movies and starring roles on decently rated television programs popular with younger demographics.
Without any public comment, it’s hard to know how serious these two might be getting, but regardless, Pop Blend wishes them all the encouragement in the world. Here’s to hoping they find something together that’s more tangible and fulfilling than just a showrunner connection.
