Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Are Getting Married
In 2009, Liam Hemsworth relocated to the United States to try and break into Hollywood and more specifically do screen tests for Thor. He wound up losing the role to his own brother, but a short time later, he was offered the lead in The Last Song. The former film may have grossed way more money, but even in retrospect, it now seems Hemsworth is glad it worked out the way it did. On the set of The Last Song, he met teen star Miley Cyrus, and together, the two began forging a relationship. It was a bit shaky at the beginning. A few break-ups reportedly happened in the first few months, but three years later, the partnership has now gone to a new level.
According to People, Hemsworth, 22, popped the question on May 31st, and Cyrus, 19, said yes, sliding the 3.5-carat Neil Lane engagement ring on the proper finger and not looking back. The combination singer, actress and soon-to-be blushing bride released a statement today saying she’s excited to spend the rest of her life with Hemsworth, and while he’s yet to do the same, you’d have to imagine he feels the same way.
If I had to pick one word to describe the Cyrus/ Hemsworth relationship over the last year, it would probably be quiet, which is an incredibly good thing. A few years back, it seemed like Cyrus was always making headlines for a slew of different reasons. Now and again, her personal life still comes up, but it’s no longer a fire she’s actively fueling. Pop Blend wishes the two nothing but the best as they move forward with a larger commitment. Here’s to hoping this wedding will be it for both.
