OMG Cat Hugs
In this adorable video, a man gets a hug from his cat in the cutest way imaginable. Who doesn’t enjoy a good hug from a furry critter? Communists, that’s who.
Every time I see a cat video on the web, I smile and ask myself the same question: Was I the only person who was raised with a cat that was a douche bag? Seriously everything about cats on the web is all positive and hilarious, and I always go back to my Siamese cat, who was an absolute terror. He was in no way graceful and every jump onto any surface ensured that whatever was sitting there would soon be on the floor. He also had this weird obsession with waiting until I had fallen asleep and then biting my feet!
I feel cheated when I see these cute videos of cats being awesome and sweet because every cat I’ve known is an asshole. My grandma’s cats always batted me in the face until I cried when I was a baby, and all the other ones ran away. One of which I don’t blame for running away because I bit off part of it’s ear when I was three. There’s also no confirming or denying it, but I also might have poked another one of my cat’s eyes out with a pencil. I was too young to remember and my parents have never been straight with me on the issue.
Maybe I’m the one who is an asshole to cats and that’s why I never see them do cool stuff? Is this experience unique to every individual on the planet but me? Maybe my rep has spread through the cat community, and if that’s the case, I don’t blame them for their hatred; but it was twenty two years ago, so they should really let it go. Typical for a cat to hold a grudge and act like it’s better than you. At least I don’t lick myself and puke on linoleum. This is why I’ve always liked dogs better, for the record. They don’t hold past mistakes against you and are always happy no matter what, and the world loves them far more for it.
But still, cat hugs.
