Octomom Checks Into Rehab To Kick Xanax Habit
It’s two steps forward and one step back for Nadya Suleman. The famous mother of fourteen has made great strides over the past few months in getting off welfare and getting a new house, but unfortunately, that sweet inertia has come with a price. Octomom checked into rehab over the weekend to battle the prescription drug problem she’s developed of late.
According to TMZ, the facility she’s chosen is the Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center in Southern California, and her specific issue is a Xanax addiction. She was apparently prescribed the drug by her doctor some time ago but has began using it too frequently of late. Here’s a look at the official statement from Suleman’s rep…
As for her fourteen children, Suleman will reportedly have three nannies and two close friends watch them, and a hired driver will shuttle them back and forth from school. The situation isn’t ideal, but if thirty days away from her kids means a more healthy and present mother for decades moving forward, it’s a sacrifice all should be willing to make.
Hopefully, we won’t hear anything for the next month. Rehab is always best done quietly and without interruption. Fingers crossed everyone involved here holds up their end of the bargain.
