One Track Sunday: Scissor Sisters' Shady Love
Sundays may usually be a bit more of a relaxed day, but when we have a little extra pep in our step the Scissor Sisters are certainly a good bet, given we can all respect the band will always and forever be a little outlandish. Toss in a guest spot by Harlem it-girl Azealia Banks and one of the worst dance ensembles [ever] and we have a track that makes us want to dance, even if it reminds us of all the creeps that used to hang out and smoke cigarettes in front of the public library growing up. Alright, so it may not really be fit for a Sunday, but “Shady Love” is the type of song sure to find a spot in our brains until next weekend when we are ready to get our party—or pilates—on.
“Shady Love” is the lead single off the Scissor Sister’s upcoming fourth album. Lead singer Jake Shears also gets his pseudonym, Krystal Pepsy, on. I haven’t heard a song that has been nearly as fun since Britney Spears went all Half-Baked in her “I Wanna Go“ video. Check out the Scissor Sisters, below. Seriously, not before you bother to put those dance shoes on.
Is it wrong that I want the shades the absolute creeper is wearing at one minute and 35 seconds?
