Paris Hilton Going Into Business With Company Suing Her
Paris Hilton’s reputation might hinge mostly on her personal life drama, but she’s actually an extremely successful businesswoman. Before anyone had even heard of Kim Kardashian, she turned a sex tape into a lucrative career based simply on being famous. From endorsements to appearances, she’s raked in millions of dollars absent the Hilton Family money, and this dropped lawsuit is pretty good evidence of that business savvy.
According to TMZ, Hilton recently turned a vicious lawsuit into a pretty sweet business opportunity. For the past year or so, the former reality star had been at war with Le Bonitas over a line of lingerie that never got off the ground. The company sued Hilton for more than $200,000 in damages over the disastrous business venture, and she countersued for more than a million dollars for wasting her time and misrepresenting the situation. The situation was shaping up to be a pretty costly and emotionally-draining battle, but now, both sides have made peace.
Moving forward, Paris has agreed to design a completely new swimwear and lingerie line for Le Bonitas for an undisclosed amount of money. Clearly, both sides are very happy with the arrangement because the case has officially been dropped and statements have been released calling the drama “water under the bridge”.
Over the past few years, Hilton has slowly faded from the headlines. Given how non-stop crazy her life was with photographers and drama for years, however, something tells me she’s enjoyed the hell out of her break. Here’s to hoping she finds a way to (mostly) keep her name out of the headlines and still continue to make money.
