Pharrell Williams Ties The Knot In Miami
Pharrell Williams is having a big year. The man has guested on such hit summer songs as Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” both of which have blown up on the charts. After doing quite well in the musical realm, he decided to take this weekend to celebrate, tying the knot with his longterm partner, Helen Lasichanh, on Saturday in a big celebration with family and friends.
People first reported the news, noting that it was reported back in August that Williams actually signed the marriage paperwork with Lasichanh in a secret ceremony. Whether or not that report holds true, the couple was seen yesterday taking pictures on a boat called “Never Say Never” in Miami. Then, they headed to the Kampong National Tropical Botanical Gardens, where they reportedly exchanged vows. The bride opted for an unconventional tartan plaid, and the groom wore plaid, as well, which seems about right for a fashion forward couple with their own unique sense of style and swag.
US Weekly also reports that a slew of famous faces attended the big event. Reportedly, Usher and Busta Rhymes even did a mini concert during the after party, which sounds a hell of a lot better than your typical run of the mill cover band or deejay. With all due respect to the greatness of dancing to 90s staples, there's just no comparison to hearing actual artists perform their own songs in an intimate ceremony.
Williams and Lasichanh have been together for more than five years. The couple even has a four-year-old son named Rocket. Now that the music producer and the model have gotten married, they’ve taken just one more step toward totally combining their lives. Congrats to the happy couple on their big wedding weekend. Pop Blend wishes them nothing but the best moving forward. Hopefully, they'll figure out a way to balance their exciting personal and professional lives, allowing for increased success in both fields.
