Rolling Stones Announces North American Tour, Release Promo
In 2012, The Rolling Stones hit 50 years together (and commemorated the big event with a book), an anniversary many marriages never hit, much less bands. This summer, the group has plans in the works to embark on the “50 And Counting” Tour, and to break the news about some of the tour dates, the guys have put together a video showing them working in their own spaces before using social media to chat tour dates and rehearsal gigs.
According to Rolling Stone, the band will kick off the tour in Los Angeles with a gig at the Staples Center. Unfortunately, an exact date has yet to be set for the big event. Since other gigs will begin in early May, fans should expect a late April event or very early May event in the City of Angels.
Unfortunately the “50 and Counting” Tour refers to years the band has spent together rather than the number of dates the band hopes to play. The North American tour will feature only nine gigs in total, with most of the dates occurring in the US and one gig in Toronto, Canada. After the tour closes, The Rolling Stones will hit up the Glastonbury Festival in London in June.
