Sheryl Crow Diagnosed With Benign Brain Tumor
Sheryl Crow has never had the best memory, but over the past year, she’s seen it slip even more. Irritated, she decided to get an MRI back in November. The results showed a tumor inside her brain. Luckily, it turned out to be meningioma, a benign and relatively common condition many more unknowingly have. It’s not expected to affect her quality of life, but to the singer, it feels like justification for her memory problems.
The news came out in a recent interview with The Las Vegas Review-Journal. Columnist Doug Elfman asked her about forgetting the lyrics to her hit “Soak Up The Sun” during a recent concert in Florida, and she let loose with the entire tumor diagnosis. She’d been keeping it private for months, but the moment felt right for her to reveal the issue she’s been pondering.
Here’s what her rep had to tell E! News…
With a pleasant, laid back demeanor and an even better voice, Crow has been churning out hits for decades, and it’s nice to know she’ll be doing the same for years to come. Brain tumors might invoke fear unlike few other diagnoses, but luckily, not all affect the body in the same way. Pop Blend’s thoughts go out to Crow, as well as her children and rumored boyfriend.
