Susan Boyle Is Ready To Start Dating
Susan Boyle is sick of being single, and if she has it her way, that lonely Facebook status will change real soon. The lifelong spinster has asked her friends to start thinking of possible candidates to set her up on a date with, and eventually, she’d like to find one she could settle down with.
The impetus to start hunting for a man began recently when the fifty-two-year-old was asked to contribute a song to and film a cameo for the film The Christmas Candle. During her audition, producers were so happy with what they saw that they gave her a larger role, that of Eleanor Hopewell, the warden’s wife. As part of the larger gig, she was required to kiss Braveheart actor James Cosmo, and let’s just say she didn’t hate it. In fact, she referred to the smooch as “lovely”.
Here’s a portion of the quote she gave to The Sun…
People always wonder how a man or woman could get well into adulthood without ever finding a boyfriend or girlfriend. Well, it’s actually far simpler than one would imagine. Kids tend to be remarkably resilient. They’re often willing to put themselves out there and try quite a bit, but if one finds repeated rejections during that early period, it’s not shocking that he or she might stop trying in order to save themselves from more pain. Once that effort is switched off for the first time, it can be remarkably difficult to switch it back on because of a lack of experience, a lack of confidence and even embarrassment.
As a woman who has sold almost twenty million albums over the past half decade, however, Boyle has nothing to be embarrassed about. She has plenty to offer a potential suitor, and I’m sure there are loads of men in their fifties and sixties who would love to take the smiley woman out on a date, or even to one of her concerts or the eventual premiere of her biopic. Here’s to hoping she finds the right chap for her sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, the rest of us can remind ourselves of Boyle’s uplifting and beautiful moment when she first appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and captivated the entire world with her stunning voice…
