Taylor Swift's 22 Video Has The Singer Freewheeling At The Beach
To celebrate the beginning of Taylor Swift's Red Tour, the pop singer sent a video in to Good Morning America, announcing she may be in Oklahoma but that she had a surprise for fans. We may have been hoping for another shot at Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, but that surprise ended up being the official music for “22,” the fourth single from Swift’s most recent album, Red.
In the video, Swift dances around with her best friends while she sings about feeling free, feeling happy, and sometimes even feeling lonely. In the video for “22” the singer doesn’t seem to be particularly lonely. Instead, she seems to be in her comfort zone, spending time playing on trampolines and cuddling up with her friends at the beach.
In other news, I’m not sure that most people still feel the infinite sense of possibility at 22 that Taylor Swift clearly still feels. Maybe I’m just out of touch because at 22 I was stuck dealing with graduate school deadlines, but hey, at least this time around Swift isn’t directly singing about teen themes. If you like what you are hearing, there is plenty more where that came from. Whether or not the songs on Red are relevant to all 22-year-olds, they are clearly relevant to someone, with the album selling over a million copies in its first week and continuing to grow from there.
If you want to check out what else Red has to offer, Swift has also released some super emotive videos for songs like ”I Knew You Were Trouble” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
