Tiger And Lindsey Vonn: Are They Legit Or A PR Stunt?
It’s been less than a week since Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn officially admitted they’re seeing each other, and there are already some out there who are calling BS on the budding romance. Maybe because of how overly photogenic they are or maybe because of his wild past, there’s something about the couple that many so-called experts just aren’t buying. If they’re to be believed, it screams publicity stunt.
According to Fox News, the relationship gives Vonn added exposure that could well lead to an increase in sponsors ahead of the 2014 Olympic Games. She’s famous but not over the top so, and this extra Tiger push could give her an extra boost. Conversely, Vonn’s good girl image and pleasant personality humanize Woods a bit after his scandal and bring him down to Earth, hopefully showing many of his fans he’s able to be trusted again.
I get where everyone is coming from with this whole publicity stunt angle. If all goes well, this partnership really should benefit both of their careers. That being said, sometimes people just are really good on paper. Sometimes relationships make sense on both rational and emotional levels, and this could easily fall into that camp. Besides, there’s no real evidence that anything about this is fake.
What do you think of this relationship? Is there something real about it, or was it just manufactured for their mutual benefit like an old Hollywood fling? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
