Victor Garber Confirms Longtime Relationship With Rainer Andreesen

Like Jodie Foster, Victor Garber has never been one to talk extensively about his personal life. For the last thirteen years, he’s been with the dashingly handsome artist Rainer Andreesen, but he’s never really released any official statement or confirmed it publically, at least until now. Kind of.

In an interview with Greg Hernandez, the actor was asked about his longtime relationship with Andreesen. Here’s what he had to say…

‘I don’t really talk about it but everybody knows. He’s going to be out here with me for the SAG Awards.”

That’s probably as extensive of a comment as we’ll ever get from Garber unless he ever walks down the aisle with Andreesen, but really, there’s nothing wrong with that. If he doesn’t want to make a big deal about his personal life, that’s okay. Clearly, his long career is the legacy he would rather leave as opposed to random stories about his personal life and who he chooses to love.

Still, whether it was intended or not, coming out formally does have some impact, if for no other reason than it briefly forces someone into the forefront. Here’s to hoping the spotlight that will follow Garber and Andreesen for the next day or so does nothing but strengthen their already solid relationship. They seem like an extremely happy couple, and Pop Blend wishes them nothing but the best moving forward.
