Was Kelly Rowland Right To Admit She Was Jealous Of Beyonce?

Earlier tonight, Kelly Rowland hit up a stage in Washington to perform her new hit song “Dirty Laundry”, and during the performance, she got a little emotional. In fact, she started crying and had to take a few seconds to compose herself before continuing with the track that chronicles her love for and onetime frustration with longtime friend and former bandmate Beyonce Knowles. Apparently, she was very jealous of Mrs. Carter’s success for a long time thanks to an abusive former boyfriend whispering in her ear, but lately, she’s really started appreciating the starlet.

According to The New York Daily News, Rowland later told the crowd singing “Dirty Laundry” is like going to therapy for her. She’s able to get out all of her honesty and feel better doing it, even if it costs her a few tears now and again. Clearly, putting out the track has been a very positive thing for the new X Factor judge, but as for fan reaction, it’s actually been pretty mixed.

On the one hand, there are some who believe opening up and being honest about how she felt is the easiest way to truly start the healing process and get back on the best terms possible with Beyonce. They appreciate that Rowland has taken that step, and they appreciate how honest and open she is being with fans. On the other hand, there are others who think airing her dirty laundry in public is kind of self-centered and sort of exploits Beyonce since she doesn’t have a say in the matter.
