Watch Beyonce Explore Her Past In Grown Woman Pepsi Ad
Despite the trainwreck that is “Bow Down/I Been On,” Beyoncé is on her A-game right now, and she has a line of H&M clothing and even a magazine cover to back her up. Her next move to making a post-baby comeback seems to be new music in the form of a Pepsi commercial, however.
The new commercial features the song “Grown Woman” and showcases the singer dancing in front of multiple mirrors. Throughout the video, versions of the singer wearing old costumes from different phases of the her career pop up in the other mirrors surrounding Beyoncé, reminding her of the star she used to be. The slogan for the video is “Embrace your past, but live for now.” Jake Nava, who also put together the videos for “Single Ladies (Put a Rings on It) and “Crazy in Love,” was also responsible for directing the Pepsi commercial.
The ad and all of the other commercial events the singer has in the works are keeping the 31-year-old in the spotlight as she works to put together an album, which is set to drop later in 2013. We’ve still got a while to go before we likely hear more of the new music, but at least a tracklist for the album may have potentially leaked. Keep an eye out for more Beyoncé news in the coming weeks and months.
