Watch: Britney Spears' New Video Work Bitch
Every time I listen to Britney Spears’ new song “Work Bitch,” I feel a little bit like I’m going to stroke out. Regardless of whether you like the fast-tempo of the pop singer’s newest single, there’s one thing that we can be certain of while watching the video for “Work Bitch”: Spears did indeed work to really whip that body into shape. The song may not make me want a Maserati, but it does make me wish I had the abs the 31-year-old mom of two is rocking.
The video for “Work Bitch” was directed by Ben Mor and it premiered on the CW on Tuesday evening before hitting the Internet, where the video has already earned well over 3 million plays. There’s not a lot of work actually being accomplished in the music video, but Spears looks as fit as a fiddle and almost as fantastic as she looked dancing around in knee socks and a short skirt in her “Baby, One More Time” video.
This time around, she’s dancing in plenty of half shirts and even some lingerie-looking costumes, one of which involves leather and a long whip. At one point, she dances on a stage of wigged dancers in the middle of a barren desert. It’s good that the desert is barren since Spears is clearly the focal point. Eventually, she even wears a ballgown and dances around some water before blowing up some mannequins back in the desert. Pretty much, this video has everything. Stefon would be proud.
“Work Bitch” is the lead single off of Spears’ upcoming eighth studio album, which is set to drop on December 3. I haven’t given you the title of the album, not because I’m trying to keep it a secret, but because Brit Brit and co. haven’t come up with one yet. It’s getting pretty close to crunch time, so I’m assuming that title will come sooner than later and we’ll keep you posted along the way.
December also marks the month that Spears is headed to Las Vegas where she will perform a frequent show at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The show will begin on December 27 and tickets for some of the gigs are already on sale.
