Watch This Kid's Wild Celebration After Landing His First Handrail
When I was a little kid, I dreamed of being able to bounce on my knees on a trampoline and land a backflip. I have no idea why I was so fascinated with that goal, but for one summer, that’s all I really wanted to accomplish. Not surprisingly, it felt pretty damn awesome when I finally did it. In fact, I responded a whole lot like this kid in the above video.
First published almost five years ago under the title “my first handrail”, the clip finally started going viral this month, and given its subject matter, that’s not surprising. There’s something incredibly adorable about little boys at this age when they’re trying to act older but still celebrate in a wild over the top fashion without the slightest regard for how cool or uncool they might look.
Over the past few decades, the amount of people skateboarding attracts has increased and the limits of what professionals can do has gone beyond anything the early pioneers ever would have imagined. That being said, I’m sure kids will still be amped about landing their first handrail generations from now.
