Whitney Houston Reportedly Found In The Bathtub

Family members, friends and fans alike are still in shock over the sudden passing of Whitney Houston. The diva was found unresponsive in her room at the Beverly Hills Hotel yesterday afternoon, and within a half hour, she was officially pronounced dead. No evidence of foul play was found at the scene, and the police have refused to comment on what may or may not have led to her downfall. In all likelihood, it will take months for the coroner to sort out exactly what happened, but that hasn’t stopped certain details from leaking out.

According to TMZ, Houston was discovered in the bathroom. She reportedly was in there for more than an hour when her bodyguards started to worry. A female was sent inside, and she called for help after spotting the diva with her face submerged under water. A member of her security staff removed her from the water and reportedly performed CPR, but it was to no avail. Authorities were quickly phoned, and none of the responders had any luck either.

Whether she fell and hit her head or simply passed out is unclear, but since there was no reported blood at the scene, the latter is probably more likely. Either way, Houston’s death has sent a ripple of sadness and confusion through Hollywood and the rest of the country. She was in town to perform at Clive Davis’ Grammy pre-party. Now tonight’s ceremony will turn into somewhat of a tribute to the fallen star.
