Ginny & Georgia Season 3: What We Know So Far About The Next Installment
The teen series is back in action.
Get ready, because Ginny & Georgia Season 3 is confirmed.
There comes a time in every streaming platform or TV channel’s history where they have a runaway hit and create one of the best teen dramas. Today, we are going to look into Ginny & Georgia, a popular teen drama on Netflix.
While the show certainly has its comedic moments, Season 2 of the series was much more dramatic than the first. The show has become a huge hit for Netflix, and it’s not that surprising to learn that there are plans for Season 3, as the streaming platform has announced it for fans all over the world to hear. Here is what we know so far about it.
What Is The Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Premiere Date?
At the time of updating this in September 2024, there is no set release date for Ginny & Georgia Season 3, but Deadline reported in February 2024 that Netflix is aiming for a 2025 release for the show, so you can expect it to premiere as part of the 2025 TV premiere schedule.
It’s a shame that we won’t be seeing this on any 2024 TV schedule. Even so, all I know is that I am filled with questions from Season 2 and would literally give anything for them to be answered ASAP, please and thank you. I suppose I’ll just have to wait until next year.
The Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Cast
The Season 3 cast of Ginny & Georgia is set, according to a cast photo released from Netflix Tudum in April 2024. Cast members were also confirmed from Netflix’s official Instagram back when the show was renewed for Season 3. Here is who you can expect to return:
- Antonia Gentry as Ginny
- Brianne Howey as Georgia
- Raymond Ablack asJoe
- Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph
- Sara Waisglass as Maxine
- Felix Mallard as Marcus
- Chelsea Clark as Norah
- Katie Douglas as Abby
- Diesel La Torraca as Austin
- Jennifer Robertson as Ellen
- Nathan Mitchell as Zion
With such a large cast, it’ll be exciting to see them back on the show after being absent from it for so long. I’m not sure how they’re going to handle the time jumps (considering Austin is older now, and really everyone looks older), but I’m eager to see what Season 3 will bring.

New Cast Members For Ginny & Georgia Season 3
According to that same Tudum article from before, we actually have some new cast members that we can confirm as well:
- Ty Doran as Wolfe, someone who is in Ginny’s poetry class – and doesn’t actually like poetry.
- Noah Lamanna as Tris, a friend of Marcus’ who is super smart and a skateboarder.
How important the two of them will be to the overarching story is unknown right now, but I have a feeling they’ll cross paths with plenty of characters one way or another.
What Is Ginny & Georgia Season 2 Going To Be About?
I’m sure we’re all just waiting for some type of plot regarding Season 3, and thankfully, we have a few ideas of what the next iteration of Ginny & Georgia will be about. Check it out below:
The Season 2 Finale Directly “Set The Stage” For The Next Season
The Season 2 finale of Ginny & Georgia was a seriously big one. While Georgia ended up going through with her wedding to Paul despite him learning everything about her, she was arrested for Tom’s murder, something that happened earlier in the season. We see her being taken away in a police car not that long after.
Lampert also did an interview with Tudum about the Season 2 ending regarding her plans for the series, and confirmed that in creating the story for the second season, they knew exactly what needed to happen to continue an intriguing plot in Season 3:
Season 3 Will “Test” The Miller Family More Than Ever
In that other Tudum article about the cast and production beginning, we were also given a hint from Lampert as to what to expect in Season 3 of the show – and that it will test the Miller family more than ever before as the world “comes” for them:
Lampert would also say that Season 3 will throw “new challenges” that Ginny & Georgia had never faced before.
We also saw a few hints about what the cast might want from the story in that Instagram Reels video, maybe as clues to the audience, such as “a lot of drama, a lot of love triangles,” wondering how Paul is going to react to his wedding reception being interrupted, Max possibly getting the lead role in the play, Georgia beating the murder charges, and more.
Sarah Glinski Will Take Over As Showrunner
As reported by Deadline, it was confirmed that Sarah Glinski would be taking over as showrunner for Ginny & Georgia Season 3, replacing Debra J. Fisher. The new showrunner is primarily known for her work on Degrassi: Next Class, so she certainly has experience with a big teen drama, and I have a feeling that she’ll be able to bring the fun and drama to the upcoming season.
Production Has Officially Ended
With a hopeful premiere timeline of 2025, we can gladly say that production on Ginny & Georgia Season 3 has ended.
Production began in April 2024, as confirmed by Tudum, where we see a cast picture at a table read, all together and ready to start. And now, Tudum announced that filming came to an end on Season 3 in September 2024. In fact, Antonia Gentry (Ginny) even commented on the end of filming to Tudum prior to the last day of production:
Gentry’s on-screen mother, Brianne Howey, also commented on it, saying the “scripts are so good” and that they were “so proud” of what they had done with Season 3 of the show:
Okay, now I’m even more excited for 2025.
What are you the most eager for when it comes to the news about Ginny & Georgia? While it’ll be some time before Season 3 comes out, we can at least rewatch the first two seasons, and keep hoping for a trailer soon for the third.
