Simu Liu Reveals He Suffered An Injury, But I’m Distracted By His Abs
Simu Liu shared some thirst traps while revealing his recent injury.
Actor Simu Liu has become a household name over the last few years, largely thanks to playing the title role in Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings. He brought some excellent action sequences to life in that role, while also showing off his ripped physique. Liu recently revealed that he suffered an injury, but truthfully I’m distracted by his abs. I’m sure he gets that alot.
Simu Liu is known for being jacked, even getting a shirtless fight scene during the runtime of Shang-Chi. While fans are left waiting for his return to that role in an upcoming Marvel movie, he recently took to Instagram to reveal he tore his achilles. The photo dump also shows that he’s still looking ripped, with abs on display in a few of the images. Check it out below:

Despite this tear, Simu Liu is definitely still in good shape. Although as he admitted, the events of his photo dump included him being carried around by his friends so he can get on and off a boat. Plus whatever event he went to with crutches on tow.
The Barbie actor shared this photo dump to his whopping 3.1 million followers on Instagram. The post reveals that he recently spent the weekend in Miami with friends, albeit with a leg injury. In the shirtless pics we see Simu Liu with his girlfriend, while spending a boat day with friends. And it definitely looks like a fun time was had by all.
In these images you can see the Shang-Chi actor once again looking yoked while posing shirtless. While he’s known for being jacked, Simu Liu recently revealed that his diet isn’t all that regimented– although he does participate in intermittent fasting. And clearly he does spend a ton of time at the gym and exercising via sports.
This is just the latest example of Liu posting shirtless thirst traps online, some of which have promptly gone viral. Fans are psyched about when he’ll use that physique to bring Shang-Chi back to life on the big screen. It seems like he’ll be returning to his signature role in The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, although that project is still in the development process– especially given how the strikes have influenced the film industry as a whole. Shang-Chi 2 is also in the works, but similarly early in its journey to theaters.
The next MCU movie hitting theaters is The Marvels on November 10th. Be sure to check out the 2023 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
